Tour guides are receiving practical and theoretical training on how to observe sea turtles
With the aim of promoting conscientious and responsible tourism in Príncipe, around 30 tourist guides and the hotels in the region, received practical and theoretical training on “how to observe sea turtles on the island of Príncipe” by Protetuga Project team.
This training is already common in the region and takes place annually as part of a partnership between Príncipe Foundation, local hotels and the Associação dos Guias Turísticos.
This season was funded by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund, YWP Foundation and The Rufford Foundation, and it would not be possible without the support of the Presidency of the Regional Government of Príncipe and our local, national and international partners.
We work together for Tourism as a tool for Nature Conservation.
