EMPOWERING LOCAL COMMUNITIES
The Foundation works with and for the people of Príncipe. Our projects are conducted in partnership with regional authorities and local communities.
Since local communities are largely dependent on fishing and agriculture, our goals include helping them to achieve greater autonomy, and realising a sustainable economy using the island's natural resources. Understanding and valuing the importance of biodiversity and local ecosystems is key when seeking income alternatives and making use of previously unexplored resources.
